Are your tours in accordance with Covid-19 government guidelines?

See Your City are committed to bringing fun and interactive virtual and walking tours through London, Edinburgh and York. Our trained guides take your health and the support for the NHS seriously. We have implemented procedures to ensure everyone is safe while still having a great tour.

We are ETOA certified to ensure our practices meet high safety standards but we go beyond that by assessing each tour and guide as well.

Our health and safety practices have also been vetted by the tourist board – hence the proudly posted “We’re Good to Go” stickers below.

We use and offer hand sanitiser before, during, and after all tours.
We require all customers and guides to wear masks.

Guides have received health & safety training, are self-monitoring temperatures daily, and trained in group social distancing practices.

Masks will be worn and are available if you do not have one.

Tours are kept under 10 people at any time and social distancing is enforced.

For food tours, gloves and sanitisers offered during and between stops.

Where appropriate face shields are worn.

Cancellations made within 24hours of the event will be confirmed with 100% refund.

I’ve just bought tickets to a virtual event, what happens next?

You’ll receive a booking confirmation email with information on the time and date of your booking. There will be a link on that booking confirmation email that will lead you to your tour at the appointed time and date.

Your camera does not need to be on. Although, for the murder mystery and theatre tours, you’ve every opportunity to interact and assist the story! For other tours that focus heavily on sites, you are welcomed to put your Zoom in speak view, and full screen. That way you see the images, video and 360 footage clearly.

You are able to join the tour at any point. If you are late, please join when you can as these tours are non refundable.
The tours are LIVE and we are not able to accommodate leaving and rejoining.

You are unable to share your link past the amount of passengers you have booked for. If you purchase multiple passengers for one tour you will be able to share your link with them by forwarding the booking confirmation email.
Please utilise the “Chat” section of your Zoom dashboard to ask the Host a question during the event, or “put your hand up”, either virtually, or to camera.

What tech do I need to join the virtual tours?

We use Zoom to host all virtual experiences. You can access Zoom simply within the web browser, however for an optimised experience, please make sure you have appropriately installed Zoom prior to your tour start time.  To check your requirements, please go to https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/sections/200305593-Troubleshooting

How do I tip the hosts?

The guide will provide their website address at the end of the tour, which allows for discounted future purchases, reviews and tipping.

It’s really up to you whether you do so. If you enjoyed your event and feel like you received exemplary service from your guide, it is customary to leave a tip at the end of the tour. It’s not obligatory though and we won’t hold it against you if you don’t – nor will your guide.

Does See Your City offer gift vouchers?

We do indeed offer gift vouchers. If you are interested in purchasing a gift voucher, just click “gift” when booking.

Does poor weather stop your events?

All of our tours and events will run regardless of weather.

Can I bring a buggy or stroller on the walking tour?

Absolutely, all of our tours are easily accessible. Although in Edinburgh there are some rather steep hills, which must be considered.

How do I find my walking tour guide?

Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tour details, including the meeting point, a map of the area, and any other important information you may need to know. Most of our meeting points are located close to stations and are easy to access.

What happens if I’m going to be late to a tour?

Please note that we ask all guests to arrive at the tour meeting point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of their tour. If you have difficulty finding the meeting point or are delayed along the way, please call us and we will help you with directions.

Per our cancellation policy, late arrivals and no shows are non-refundable, but a tour can be rescheduled without a fee with at least 24 hours notice.
